AST Research, Inc.

AST was a manufacturer of computers and other computer peripherals founded in 1980 by (A)lbert Wong, (S)afi Qureshey and (T)om Yuen.

In 1993 Tandy sells its computer business to AST Research. AST Research was acquired by Samsung in 1996.

AST exited the computer market in 2001.
