Jeppesen Sanderson Inc. offers a complete selection of flight information and flight planning services, aviation weather services,
maintenance information, pilot training systems and pilot supplies. Some of their flight computers were based on calculators manufactured by Texas Instruments. On Aug. 15, 2000 the Boeing Company had announced that it agreed to acquire Jeppesen Sanderson, Inc., the world's leading provider of flight information services, from Tribune Company for $1.5 billion in cash.
