Elektronika produced an impressive lineup of unique, domestically developed calculator models. What is surprising is that these models are clearly not copycat Western machines; while some concepts (e.g., an RPN stack) were borrowed from comparable Western models, many design features are unique, and few, if any, Western components or subassemblies were used during manufacturing.

Ministry of Electronics, was responsible for the introduction and development of electronic calculators into Russia and the other members of the U.S.S.R.
